Author Comments:
I’ve put together this book to share with you my joy of toymaking and to show that all around the world, wood toymakers are alive and well. There are a lot of wonderful reasons to make toys from wood. The first is because it is so exciting to work with and it is intoxicating to smell, touch and feel. I get a pleasant high every time I make a fresh cut for a new toy. It is also good for the kids because it let’s them share the joy of the toy with it’s toymaker. A wood toy also encourages kids to let their playfulness and imagination sky-rocket to new levels. I hope that you enjoy this little book about a few of the world’s wood toymakers and are inspired by it.
